Will is a partner and co-founder of Ember Ridge and is responsible for sourcing investment opportunities, leading due diligence, and managing portfolio companies at a board level.

Prior to Ember Ridge, Will was a member of the underwriting team at Ares Management in their direct lending group in Chicago.

Will, alongside Ian, began his career as an analyst at Lazard, a boutique investment bank, in their restructuring group. Will worked on large-cap restructurings, including J. Crew and Tops Friendly Market.

Will graduated summa cum laude from Indiana University with a B.S in Finance. 

Ian is an Ember Ridge Equity partner and co-founder. His focus is both sourcing / closing investments and managing investments as an active and collaborative board member.
 
Ian began his career as an investment banking analyst in the restructuring group at Lazard. Ian worked on large-cap restructurings, including Toys “R” Us and Claire’s Stores. Ian then joined the investment team at Victory Park Capital where he underwrote  middle market equity and credit investments across a variety of industries.
 
Prior to Ember Ridge, Ian was a turnaround and restructuring consultant to middle-market businesses at Portage Point Partners in Chicago. Ian worked closely with middle market management teams at all stages in the business lifecycle during his time at Portage Point. This gave him unique operational insight and highlighted key pitfalls to avoid and areas to optimize performance and help companies scale.
 
Ian graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a B.B.A. in Finance and a minor in Theology.
